Can you make a Ring Flight Revolution from any key?
No, the key needs to be a specific size.  If you want a specific key converted, I'll be happy to have a look at it for you and let you know if it's possible.  If so, I'll convert it and charge you for time it took to convert it, if it's not possible, I'll return it to you undamaged.  Please email me with any requests.

  What makes of key do you do?
Currently I make the following keys: Peugeot, Ford, Mini, VW Flip key, Audi Flip key, Toyota and BMW and BMW Fob.  However, the VW Flip Key can also come with the following logos: BMW,  Nissan, Kia, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Honda, Mazda, Hyundai, Chevrolet, Seat, Opel, Geely, Skoda, Dayu, Buick, Suzuki, BYD or Audi.

  I have my own key, can you convert it and if so, will it be cheaper?
Some keys are possible to convert, but the key's I get come without the electronics, so take a lot less time to make.  So your key could take a lot longer to convert and therefore cost more money.  Please email if you wish to discuss your key.

  Why are some Ring Flight Revolution's more expensive than others?
The prices are dependent on the cost of the raw key and how long it takes to make each one.  For example, the Peugeot and Toyota keys can be made in 2-3 hours where as the BMW key takes around 3-4 hours.  The BMW key's are also a lot more expensive. 

  Are some keys better than the others?
I find that the Toyota, BMW and Peugeot keys are very slightly smoother that the others, the Ford and Mitsubishi keys have a slightly more hollow sound to them.  Of course you can't hear or feel this in performance mode, only when holding it by your ear.  No key is stronger or more durable than any of the others, they all retract and lock in exactly the same way.

  If I order now, how long will it take to get to me?
As long as not performing abroad, I'll try my best to get your order processed the same day.  UK orders usually arrive in 1-2 days, European orders usually take around 4-8 days and USA and the rest of the world usually takes around 8-12 days. This is just a rough estimate though, orders often arrive a lot quicker, but also occasionally get delayed in customs,especially in December because of the Christmas rush. An order once took 21 days to arrive in the States.

  I've purchased the Ring Flight Revolution and have decided that it's not for me.  Can I return it?
As long is you haven't damaged or marked the gimmicked key in anyway, you can return it for a full refund (minus initial postage) within one month of receiving it.  When your order arrives, you'll receive a signed 1 month return and 2  year warranty letter. 

  What happens if my Ring Flight Revolution breaks after the 2 year warranty is up.
Email me and describe the problem, I'll then either send you the replacement parts or you can send it back to me and I'll repair it for you and return it to you.  There may be a small fee incurred depending on the problem and what parts need to be replaced.

  Does it lock when extended?
No, the Ring Flight Revolution only locks once retracted.

  Can I get to the mechanism?
Yes, the gimmick was designed to be easily maintained and fixed.  The only maintained that should be needed is the occasional oil and the odd 'push flush' of the spring.  This is all explained in the DVD.

  What kind of oil do I use?
I recommend a make called 3-in-1 oil.  This is available in most hardware shops and supermarkets. You can use WD40, but I find this doesn't work as well.  Thicker oils keep the mechanism quieter.  Do not use a dry oil such as silicone or graphite.  This will melt the plastic reel.

  I don't like the locking facility, can I remove it?
Yes, it's very simple, just untie the line, remove the swivel and tie the line back on to the small split ring.   Any problems, just email me.

  Can I use my own clip?
Yes, you can use any type of clip that suits you.

  I've heard horror stories about Ring Flights, will this happen with yours?
I've heard the horror stories, but in tens of thousands of performances, I've never had any problems or met anyone who has heard of any problem other than dropping the ring before they've got it on the clip.  In every case, the magician just picked up the ring and commenced with the trick.  Contrary to the "old wives's tails", once the ring is on the clip, it can't come off, the motion of the ring retracting to the back pocket does not create enough force to dislodge any stones or scratch it or make it fly across the room. 

  How long is the line and can it be adjusted?
The line is approximately 75cm (30") once extended, but can be increased or decreased depending on personal preference.  If made shorter, it will increase the torque of the spring, if made longer it will decrease the torque of the spring.

  Can I add my own keys to the keyring?
Yes you can, I recommend keeping the key closest to the gimmick unless the hole in the key is the same size as it might effect the locking mechanism.  Try it and see, if it doesn't lock as well swap it back, but you can have as many keys as you want on the keyring, it won't affect the performance of the gimmick.

  How often will I have to replace the line?
I've been using my line for 2 years and never had a problem.  Every now and again, run your fingers down the line.  If you feel any nicks in the line or any bits that have some how been damaged, then you can replace the line.   It's very easy to do.  If you are a 'worrier', then you can change the line every 6 months or so and you'll be fine.  You do get some spare line, but if you want some more, just email me and I'll send you some.

  What is an S-Biner?
An S-Biner is a patented karabiner clip made by a US company call Niteize (http://www.niteize.com/). It is the same clip that comes with the Departure Gimmick.  It is a very sturdy clip that should last a lifetime!

  Can you cut the key to fit my car?
No, I can send you a blank key and you will have to get it cut by your local locksmith/hardware store.

  What if the line breaks or tangles?
Tangles are rare and line breakages nearly impossible (it's never happened yet).  But te DVD that comes with it, will explain how to sort out any problems that you may have with your Ring Flight Revolution.
